This never happens. Like, NEVER.
So you want to know what exactly it is that I won?
Well, let me back up. I’m totally out of shape. I don’t have a membership to a gym, I sit most of the day at work and have had a hard time motivating myself to do workout videos or run at home. My midsection has always been my least favorite part of my body and after two pregnancy and one c-section delivery, I have been left with something far more annoying than just extra skin and stretch marks. I have something called Diastisis Recti. In short, this is what happens when the rectus abdominis muscle separates due to intraabdmonial pressure and does not come back the way it was prior to pregnancy. The result is poor core strength, lower back pain and a tummy that always has a little (or big) pooch.
Ever since my daughter was born five months ago, I have suffered from lower back pain. When I followed up with my midwife, she suggested that I get physical therapy as my abdominal muscles had not come back together as they should have. At this point in my life, I don’t have time for physical therapy. So I started googling exercises for diastisis recti and postpartum workouts. That’s when I stumbled upon MuTu System.
They had a bright and welcoming website, so I decided to look around and read a little bit about their program. On one of the pages, they were doing a giveaway in conjunction with another company called “Thinking Slimmer.” Thinking Slimmer is a company that has developed “Slimpods”. Slimpods are voice recordings that encourage weight loss. I’m pretty skeptical about that part but whatever, it was a giveaway. Both companies were giving away their best selling products as a joint promotion to ten people. So I filled out an entry discussing why I wanted to get in shape, etc. The deadline was the day after I entered.
After I entered, I told my husband about Mutu System and he encouraged me that if I was going to be committed, I should go ahead and purchase it. Two days after I entered the giveaway, I had an email congratulating me as I was one of the lucky ten to receive the free giveaway!
I accepted the offer, but had to be willing to submit a before and after picture, and complete log detailing about my progress.
As much of a commitment as this is, I know that this is just what I need to stay motivated and feel better.
So here I sit, reading over the programs and I am super excited. If anyone is interested in joining me with the MuTu program, I would love to have an accountability partner or eight! 🙂 The cool thing is that you don’t have to have just had your baby to do it. It really is for anyone who wants to strengthen their core. As a matter of fact, I think I will see if my hubby will join me! Let me know if you are interested. Did I mention that MuTu is a 12 week program? I like this because it gives me a goal date and I am in a wedding this summer and I need all the motivation I can get!
